摘  要
    社区教育是在一定的地域范围内，充分利用各类教育资源，旨在提高社区全体成员整体素质和生活质量，促进区域经济建设、社会发展和教育自身发展的教育活动。随着我国经济的迅猛发展，国民生活水平的全面提高，人们对个人居住的生活环境的要求也相应提高。社区的建设与发展成为如今城市发展不可缺少的要素之一。北苑社区要发展，其所需要的助推因素当中最贴合当代需要的就是社区的教育。北苑社区社区教育经过十年的发展已经初具规模，该社区有相对稳定的社区教育志愿者队伍、民间组织。北苑社区居民有广泛的学习需求，并初步形成社区特色，但还有待进一步的推进。如何进一步推进？文章认为应建立社区教育的网络化管理模式；进一步挖掘整合社区教育资源；专门教育机构功能延伸；找准社区教育的切入点。

ABSTRACT

1.1社区的由来
    “社区”是社会学的一个概念。滕尼斯认为:社区系指这样一种群体,他们在某一个特定的区域共同生活,重视这一区域生活的价值,互相影响,形成极为密切的相互关系。自滕尼斯之后,西方各国的社会学家有的从社会群体、过程的角度去界定社区,有的从社会系统、社会功能的角度去界定社区,有的从地理区划去界定社区,也有的从价值观、生活方式的角度去界定社区,还有的从归属感、认同感及社区参与的角度来界定社区,导致有关社区的定义达140 多种。这一方面反映了社区在人们生活中的重要性,反映了理论界对这种重要性的关注程度;另一方面也说明了在不同的历史时期和发展阶段,在不同的文化背景下,社区总是多元化且不断发展变化的,没有一成不变的社区。我国在20 世纪30 年代由社会学家费孝通将英文Community 一词翻译为我们今天所使用的“社区”。但社区一词直到20 世纪八九十年代才在我国广泛使用,社区建设也是近年来才大规模进行的。目前国内社会学界对社区的定义也各不相同,一般认为:所谓社区,是指一定数量居民组成的、具有内在互动关系与文化维系力的地域性的生活共同体;地域、人口、组织结构和文化是社区构成的基本要素。
