摘  要
    美国历史学家赖肖尔曾说过：“任何国家的文明，来自外来影响的产物总是多于本国的发明创造。”人类自有文化就有文化交流。于冠西先生说：“人类文化从整体来说，是各国、 各民族的文化汇聚、交流的产物。”但文化交流就必须通过翻译。没有翻译就没有文化交流。但是翻译不仅涉及语言问题，更涉及文化问题。翻译不仅要克服语言障碍，更要克服文化的障碍。
因此，充分考虑文化因素对翻译的影响是十分必要的。

Abstract
    Culture, which underlies the variety of language usage and language habits, comes to be the key area of translation studies, because the purpose and characteristic of translation are to exchange ideas and culture. Translation is not simply a matter of seeking other words with similar meaning but of finding appropriate ways of saying things in a strange land that are expressed in the original. Therefore, the aim of translation is, partly, to establish culture equivalence between the source text and the target text.

I. Introduction
    Translation is a cross-cultural communication because language is the body of culture, culture is the soil of language, while translation is the bridge of cross-communication.
    As we all know, language and culture are closely related to each other. Language is a very important component of culture, because it records the history of development of human culture, it reflects the product of progress of social civilization, it is the tool of cultural communication, dissemination, continuance and development. However, language always grows in a certain cultural background. Without culture, language can not exist. Culture is the big environment of language activity and all kinds of cultural elements must be showed in language.
